Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Cardiac arrest is a medical emergency that can be life-threatening, but with quick action, survival is possible. This CPR course teaches you the essential skills to respond effectively, including CPR techniques, using an automated external defibrillator (AED), and managing emergencies with minimal disruption. You’ll learn how to assess a cardiac emergency, call for help, and provide life-saving support until professionals arrive.
Aligned with Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, this course also covers important details like handling regurgitation, providing clear incident reports, and managing psychological impacts on yourself and others.

Course delivery This course will be delivered in the workplace at our Training rooms in either Gatton (Catholic Church) or Plainland (Snap Fitness Creche), or I can come to your workplace. Please note that enrolment to this course is made with Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909. Please refer to the student handbook located on the RTO website www.allenstraining.com.au for all details relating to rights and responsibilities including complaints and appeals.
Entry requirements Participants must have the physical capacity to perform the practical demonstrations such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor and performing rescue breathing techniques on mannequins. Pre-course study: Students may be required to undertake online pre-course work prior to attending the face to face session depending on the course delivery mode. Online study: Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online/pre-course studies.
Course duration Online Training with Face to Face Assessment - self paced online learning with a scheduled (20 minutes minimum - maximum 1 hour) face to face practical assessment.
Certificate renewal requirements Certificates will require renewal after 12 months.
Course fees and payments Please refer to our booking calendar (top of the page) for individual course fees. Refund and fee protection policy – Please refer to the student handbook. Payment Terms – Payment for individual participants is upfront, group booking payment terms are based on agreement between the client and service provider. Refund Policy and Cancellation – Notification of deferral, cancellation or withdrawal from a course must be made in writing. Conditions apply to the following – refer to the student handbook for complete information and conditions: Cancellations more than 10 days prior to the start of a course - full refund. Cancellations less than 10 days prior to the start of a course - 75% refund of fees paid to cover processing costs. Cancellations after a training program has commenced – no refund. Cases may be put forward where extenuating or significant personal circumstances led to the withdrawal. In these cases, a full credit toward the tuition fee in another scheduled program in lieu of a refund may be offered. If Hello First Aid cancels a course, then a refund will be made available to whoever paid that course fee. If for any reason Hello First Aid  is unable to fulfill its service agreement with a student, We will refund the proportion of fees relevant to the services not delivered or make alternative arrangements.

Assessment activities Assessments conducted during face-to-face training session(s) include: Performance tasks and practical scenarios: Simulated First Aid Scenario – Perform CPR on an adult (incl. the use of an AED and placing a casualty into the recovery position) Perform CPR on an infant Theory assessment: A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions.
